If you look closely at the picture above you will see the clamps and a series of five dots on the rising section of the handle bar on each side. The five dots are Urethane pads that space the Lexan polycarbonate Upper Air Chap away from the bar to prevent any scratches or wear on the chrome. All the clamping hardware is rubber lined stainless steel and the Lexan is isolated from the clamping washers by Neoprene washers to prevent stress cracks from forming. 

The Upper deflectors are shaped to prevent hitting the tank at full lock and from touching the back of the standard windshield. There is an additional Urethane pad at the outer edge of the deflector to prevent direct contact with the mirror clamps.

The Upper Air Chaps come fully assembled ready to mount on the bike. They are precision NC machined in clear Lexan polycarbonate with the edges buffed. The complete package is shown above. The Urethane pads have been correctly positioned to prevent scratches to the Lexan and to the handlebars. The rubber covered stainless bar clamps are shown at the top along with the detailed installation instructions. Nylock stainless steel nuts including spares are shown at the bottom along with the parts bag. All it takes is a #2 Philips screwdriver and a 10mm or 3/8" socket and small socket wrench to install them.

The Upper Air Chaps  work in combination with the Middle and Lower Air Chaps as an integrated system to reduce the air stream hitting your face, chest, knees, legs and feet.
