Middle Air
Chaps TM
The Middle Air Chaps are a set of precision NC machined 3/16" thick
clear Lexan polycarbonate deflectors that
attach to the standard Boulevard windshield mounting points supported by
brushed stainless steel brackets. The mounting brackets are very stiff and prevent
any vibration or oscillation of the deflectors at high speed. The
deflectors are angled back at 10 degrees to develop outward flow of the
air stream. The Lexan
polycarbonate deflectors are clamped to the brackets with Neoprene
gaskets on either side to prevent stress cracks from forming.

They deflect the air flow out
and off your upper legs and knees and block the air flow that normally
comes over the top of the gas tank. Note that they overlap the bottom of
the standard windshield to induce flow up the channel behind the
windshield and direct the air flow to the Upper Air Chaps which redirect
the air flow out and away from your face.
The
Middle Air Chaps are the set to start with if you are going to order one
set at a time.

The Middle Air Chaps attach to the two
bolts that hold the standard Boulevard windshield to the mounting frame.
The bolts on the Standard windshield are 90.0 mm apart. If your
windshield is earlier than 2005 but has this bolt spacing the Middle set
of Air Chaps should fit your bike. The only tool required is a extended length 5 mm ball end Allen
wrench which is supplied with the deflectors and installation
instructions.
Note: The Middle Air Chaps are not compatible with
the large Cobra Engine Guards due to interference when the fork is at
full lock. OEM light bars are not compatible due to mounting
interference.

The Middle Air Chaps set comes fully
assembled with the only special tool required (a 5 mm extended length ball end
Allen wrench) included along with detailed installation instructions |
| The
Middle Air
Chaps work in combination with the Upper and Lower Air Chaps as an
integrated system to reduce the air stream hitting your
face, chest, knees, legs and feet. |
